Ukraine Worship leaders across the Church are encouraged to use the ecumenical prayer for peace in Ukraine this Sunday. The prayer itself was produced by the Scottish Church Leaders Forum in response to the invasion into Ukraine. We often don’t know what to do in times of need, in times of war, in times of devastation. Our first thoughts are probably to DO something. Clean out our house to donate things. After reading multiple accounts of how to help, how people’s best intentions of sending things, can sometimes hurt situations like the war in Ukraine, I am asking you, if you feel led, to donate money. The Church of Scotland has been in touch with partners in the region and with the World Communion of Reformed Churches. With the help of ministry partners in Hungary and the Reformed Church in Carparthian Ukraine, any money donated today in our retiring collection will be used to help those seeking safety and sanctuary from war. Daily updates can be found on their website from the link below. https://reformatus.hu/english/news/emergency-response-for-ukraine/ Baskets for donations will be at the doors upon your exit.
