The current (and third) building of Portland Parish Church was completed in 1914 and served as a hospital during the war (1914 - 1918). Our sanctuary has a beautifully carved font and pulpit made from Auchenheath White Sandstone and the interior wood is white American oak which was imported specifically; the Florentine mosaic marble is from Iona. But what makes us a church is people. People give of their time, energy, dedication, and lives to live into their baptismal identity as Children of God. We invite you to come and join us any Sunday morning. Worship starts at 10:30 a.m. and lasts approximately 45-55 minutes. We have a 'pray ground' in the front for those whose wiggles do better on cushions and things to keep their hands busy. After worship we invite you through to the Greater and Lesser Hall for tea, coffee, biscuits and fellowship.
